where the time goes
Mum asked this morning, as she often does: “Where does the time go?”
For some reason, I thought to myself about where one puts a clock. Then I started thinking about just how many clocks we have in our house, including any watches we don’t wear and any timekeeping devices in the computers. That got me to considering just how many people in the world wear watches, and how many clocks there are, and how many devices keep time, and how they are all off from each other by some microscopic fraction - and it hit me… that’s where all the time goes! It gets eaten up bits at a time by everyone and everything keeping track of it! But the answer isn’t simply to stop keeping track of it, because then everyone else who is, eats up the bits you didn’t have tabs on - and the time seems to have just flown away when you next look at the clock!
So one must, then, find a way to keep their time from being eaten up and still be able to be free with it.
And you do that with reverse psychology.
…more on that later.
